Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University Wins TOP OF PROJECT FLAGSHIP 2025 Award in Research and Intellectual Property, Reinforcing the University's Power to Transform and Create Comprehensive Innovation, Generating Real Income, and Elevating the Community Economy Towards Sustainability.
On May 1st, Dr. Panphermsak Arunee, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), congratulated Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University on its outstanding achievement in winning the “TOP OF PROJECT FLAGSHIP 2025” award in research and intellectual property. This award was presented at the conference showcasing project results and awarding plaques to universities participating in the project to develop financial management systems and income-generating strategies for local community development groups, Year 2, under the Reinventing University Project 2025.
Dr. Panphermsak stated that this success stems from the “Center of Excellence in Research, Innovation, and Food Standard Analysis Project to Increase University Income,” which is notable for its integrated, comprehensive system, linking upstream research to innovation development. The project encompasses semi-industrial scale production (OEM) with FDA (Food and Drug Administration) standards, food analysis according to international standards (ISO/IEC 17025), and efficient product marketing all within a single organization.
The Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation further stated that the project can generate new revenue streams from intellectual property licensing, coupled with continuously growing revenue from food analysis services. It also helps reduce costs and increase opportunities for entrepreneurs and community enterprises in the area by establishing a standardized production source within the province, eliminating reliance on external production. Furthermore, it is driven by a team of experts capable of commercializing research (TRL) and a strong collaborative network between universities, industry, and government agencies. The establishment of KPU Holding Company is underway to enhance business flexibility and support the long-term growth of research and innovation.
“This success underscores that universities can transform research into innovation, generate real income, and drive sustainable community development,” said Dr. Panphermsak.
